HIGH-QUALITY DENTURES FOR EVERYONE

When teeth fall out or are so badly damaged that a simple filling is no longer sufficient to “repair” the tooth, dentures are necessary. Modern dentistry now offers many different options and usually there are even different therapies for a specific problem that our patients can choose between.

Here is an overview of the

Therapy concepts that we use/carry out in our practice every day

Implants: Dental implants are inserted directly into the jawbone and act as an artificial tooth root. Over time, the implant grows with the surrounding bone and becomes an extremely resilient support unit for the crown attached to it.

Veneers: Veneers are wafer-thin veneers made of ceramic or plastic that are glued to the visible areas of the front teeth. A special adhesive is used for this.

Inlays & Overlays: An inlay is an individually manufactured solid body that is glued precisely into a hole in the tooth or between teeth. They are a high-quality alternative to classic tooth fillings and, with proper care and regular check-ups, they usually last a lifetime (unlike fillings, which have to be replaced regularly). In modern dentistry, ceramics are almost exclusively used to produce inlays because, due to the individual tooth color, they can usually no longer be distinguished from normal teeth after they have been inserted. Large inlays are also known as onlays or overlays.

Telescopic dentures: A telescopic denture is a high-quality removable dental prosthesis designed to replace missing teeth. This is also referred to as a combined denture, as the telescopic prosthesis usually consists of fixed and removable parts. The prosthesis is fixed using so-called telescopic crowns, which are hidden in the prosthesis and therefore not visible from the outside.

Zirconium crowns: The zirconium crown has been very popular for some time now, as it is virtually indistinguishable from healthy teeth due to its characteristic shimmer and slight translucency. It is also metal-free and therefore free from allergy risks and perfectly tolerated by the body. The crown is adapted to the affected tooth, placed and firmly fixed.

Maryland bridges: The Maryland bridge is a special bridge construction for small gaps in teeth. In contrast to regular bridges, the abutment teeth (the teeth to the right and left of the gap) do not need to be ground because the Maryland bridge is bonded to the back of the neighboring teeth using small ceramic wings. That’s why it is also called an “adhesive bridge” or “adhesive bridge”.

Attachment: Such a prosthesis always consists of two parts, a permanently anchored part and a removable part, which makes it a hybrid of two different therapy concepts. In addition, the attachment can be provided with a latch for optimal fastening. These “latches” are plug-in connections made of precious metal, which sit, virtually invisibly, on the back of the crowned (fixed) anchor teeth.

Model cast dentures: Model cast dentures are considered the “standard care” if several teeth are lost. They are inexpensive, but aesthetically unsatisfactory, partial dentures that are made of sturdy metal and to which prosthetic saddles with artificial teeth are attached. The prosthesis is a removable tooth replacement and is primarily used to restore the natural chewing function, speech function and a natural facial expression.

We also repair your dentures, help you with special splints for the night and offer you gentle corrections to the position of your teeth through splint therapies. All of the above-mentioned therapeutic concepts and interventions can, at the patient's request, be carried out under anesthesia or (light to strong) sedation. However, the resulting additional costs are a private service and may have to be borne by yourself. . In our practice, we value individually tailored therapy concepts and detailed advice for our patients.
